Lada St. Edmund, C0-Founder and President
For over 25 years Lada has been an AFFA and NSCA certified trainer who has worked with numerous film stars and professional athletes. Lada began her career as a ballet dancer at age 11 with the Metropolitan Ballet Company in NYC. In the 1970s, Lada migrated from dancer to stunt woman and became the highest paid stunt woman in Hollywood history. And she transformed her career once again to become a personal trainer. For over 10 years, Lada has been working as a trainer at Odyssey Athletic Center in NJ where she formed The Minor Miracles Foundation. Minor Miracles is Lada’s way of using her years of professional experience to help America’s children stay fit and healthy through physical fitness and proper nutrition.
Eric Mathews, Co-Founder and Director of Operations
Over the last 30 years, Eric has strived for excellence in physical fitness and Martial Arts. Eric has held positions as a Senior Account Executive and Project Manager in various telecommunications technologies. Today, by actively participating in the daily management and event logistics of Minor Miracles, he believes he has found his true spirit. Eric’s goal is to lead Minor Miracles towards prominence as a premiere sports and recreation provider for youth throughout the nation.
Len Moncrieffe, Chief Financial Officer
A senior level manger with 20 years of proven and consistent success in developing and directing operations, inventory analysis, cost management and asset management teams. Len’s professional experience includes NJ Board of Education and DeWitt Wallace Reader’s Digest Fund. Len is currently the President and Finance Director of Pathway Communications Group. Len’s favorite sports include tennis and golf!
Shirley Chai, Volunteer Coordinator
Shirley Chai is a Master Composter who loves the outdoors and can often be seen tending to her plot in Astoria’s local Two Coves Community Garden. Shirley joined Minor Miracles because she has been exercising consistently 2-3 times a week for over 20 years and would like to encourage others to do the same. Keeping up with an exercise routine has a number of scientifically proven benefits, including: maintaining a healthy heart and releasing endorphin and the growth hormones. Being Volunteer Coordinator at Minor Miracles gives Shirley the chance to set and example and help others find the right road to a fun, healthy and active life.

Grace Asenjo, Executive Administrator
Grace was born and raised in Washington Heights, New York. Coming from a low-income background, she understands the difficulties many children face in striving to become successful adults. With the help of several adult role-models along the way, Grace received her B.A. from NYU in 2007. Since graduating, Grace has pursued one of her strongest passions: working with children. Recently, she was an instructor at a NY children’s enrichment facility and is thrilled to be working with Minor Miracles to help underprivileged children get the quality fitness and nutrition instruction they deserve.
Aiysha Mayo, Event Coordinator/Outreach Specialist
For over 12 years, Aiysha Mayo has coordinated and planned events for youth in her community through collaborative partnerships and corporate sponsorship. Her passion for children and event planning led to the successful launch of Alternative Escapes, a newly formed event production firm. Aiysha is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
